what we believe

We believe that the Scriptures are the inspired words of God and are inerrant and infallible in their original manuscripts. We believe that the Scriptures are the final authority for everything relating to the Christian life and practice. (2 Tim. 3:16; Matt. 24:35; Hebrews 4:12-14; Romans 15:4)

We believe that Jesus Christ is the Son of God, the second person of the Godhead. We believe that He was born of a virgin, lived a perfect life, and died as the atoning sacrifice for the sins of the whole world. We believe that He was raised from the dead, ascended into heaven, and will return for His Church. (John 1:1-14; Luke 1:35; 1 Cor. 15:3-4; Isaiah 7:14; John 3:16)

We believe that we are saved by the grace of God, as we receive His grace by faith in the person and work of the Lord Jesus Christ. (Eph. 2:8-9; Rom. 10:9)

We believe that marriage is a God ordained covenant between one man and one woman for the rest of their lives. The covenant of marriage is meant to display the loving, sacrificial, and permanent union of Christ with His bride, the Church. (Eph. 5:22-33; Gen. 2:24; Matt. 19:4-6)

We believe that God is the holy creator and all powerful ruler of the universe. He has revealed Himself as one God existing as three coequal and coeternal persons: Father, Son, and Holy Spirit. He is omniscient (all knowing), omnipresent (everywhere), and omnipotent (all powerful). (Gen. 1:1; Deut. 6:4; Matt. 3:16; Jer. 32:17)

We believe that the Holy Spirit, the third person of the Godhead, is the one who convicts the world of sin, righteousness, and judgement. He is the guarantee of our inheritance that is to come in Christ. He is the one who empowers and produces in us the ability to live godly lives. (John 16:8; Eph. 1:14; Gal. 5:22-23; Rom. 8:11)

We believe that the Church is the assembly of all born again believers throughout all time. We believe that the purpose of the Church is to fellowship, spread the gospel, disciple, and be a light to a dark world. (Eph. 2:19-22; Matt. 16:16-18; Matt. 28:19-20; Matt 5:14)
